16th EFMC Short Course on Medicinal Chemistry: New Opportunities in GPCR Drug Discovery

After having been postponed by two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are happy to announce the 16th EFMC Short Course on Medicinal Chemistry, which will address the trending topic of New Opportunities in GPCR Drug Discovery.

This intensive course is intended for scientists working in the field, and the presentations will be given by senior scientists from industry and academia. The number of participants is limited to 35, to allow in depth discussion.

Course Outline

This course will provide an introduction for medicinal chemists to the New Opportunities in GPCR Drug Discovery, including concepts and methods applied in the structural biology, modelling, systems biology, pharmacology and medicinal chemistry of GPCRs. In addition, a series of medicinal chemistry case studies, including the discovery of molecular probes, tool compounds, clinical candidates and marketed drugs will also be presented.
