Research Activities

  • Development, application and validation of non-destructive analytical methodologies for the quantitative and qualitative determination of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in pharmaceutical formulations, as well as of substances of medical interest in biological fluids.
  • Study of polymorphism of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in pharmaceutical formulations (generic drugs). 
  • Study of the interaction between APIs and excipients in pharmaceutical formulations.  
  • Development of Reverse Engineering methodologies for the analysis of APIs and excipients in pharmaceutical formulations.
  • Study of tissues for the detection/diagnosis of disorders using Spectroscopic and X-ray Imaging techniques with in vivo application capability.
